The Cake Lady's Children, Part II: Sandhurst Photographer

Two days ago I posted some images from last week's photo shoot with the son and daughter of our very talented local cake and biscuit lady, Lisa. Here's a few more from the session. There are so many good ones of them, so I had to be very harsh in making a decision as to which ones to share.

Peepo!Of course, if one does it, they both do but I had to be quick to catch li'l J; she's surprisingly fast for one so young!

Not fair, you had a head start!
And finally, this one of B looking rather cool. I promise I didn't ask him to lie like this. Let's just say he's quite comfortable in front of the camera :-)

To B and li'l J: Thanks for letting me follow you around and take your photograph. I hope your mum made you some special treats for dinner that day, you certainly burned off enough energy with all the running around you did! Rach x

Composite Artwork

It's sometimes difficult to choose between images to use on a shoot but you don't have to. I offer composites of different images. The composite artwork looks fabulous on your walls. I love to see them printed in metallic on acrylic for a contemporary look.

The Cake Lady's Children, Part I: Sandhurst Photography

The very first blog I ever wrote included a section about a photo shoot I did for a very talented 'cake lady'. Around our neck of the woods, that's her name: Lisa, The Cake Lady. It's her unofficial title. She really must get fed up of being referred to in this way... sorry Lisa, but when you bake amazing creations like you do, you have to expect it! Please check out Lisa's Facebook page at Cakes & Biscuits by Lisa. Her designs and attention to detail are superb.

This week I had the honour of photographing Lisa's two gorgeous children. I had such a fun time with them and, the weather behaved just as well as they did. I have so many images that I love and want to share so I think I'd better split this into two blogs.

iSad

Way back in the first month of blogging I did a post called Inspiration. It contained a link to Steve Jobs' Address to Stamford Graduates back in 2005. Today, as I found out the sad news that he had passed away, aged only 56 years, I watched this link again. I am sure you will agree, the speech is even more poignant now.

The overwhelming reaction from around the world, on hearing the news of his death, is not surprising. Amongst other things, this man created and recreated Apple, not forgetting Pixar. After all, what sort of a world would it be without Toy Story? Oh, and I guess the iPhenomenon is pretty awesome too. If you have a spare few minutes, please watch the link above. His own speech says everything you need to know about him far more eloquently than I can put into words and may even inspire you in your own personal journey through life.

RIP Mr Steve Jobs. For somebody who never even completed college you did pretty well and certainly made your mark on the planet.
